Politics in the Empire of Dreams

Officially everyone in the Empire pays open homage to to the Imperial Clan. however, humans being what they are, there are many corporations, families and other groups who surretipiously oppose the rule of the Imperials and even the Clans themselves. for the most part, Clients are second class citizens, although some are treated better and some are worse.

Of course, one cannot have an Empire without palace intrigue, so there is plenty of that at the top levels of government, but also at the top echelons of each Clan.
