Empire
Two generations before the death of Kilgar, a brilliant executive at T'laren Arms had the idea to create a line of high-quality, modular projectile weapons based around a common slug. The weapon was an immediate success among small units and mercenary groups which enjoyed the flexibility and reliability of the weapon, but T'laren Arms eventually discontinued the line. The T'laren executive created his own company to continue manufacturing the high quality weapons, which are well known to hold up under the worst conditions. A number of other third-party companies have picked up the designs and continue to manufacture compatible components for them.
Each of the basic packages below is modular, meaning that kits can be purchased to mount the equipment in vehicles or convert them to hand weapons such as pistols and rifles. (Use the rules in GURPS Vehicles, 2d. ed., but double final costs.)
T'laren Arms Ginni-Grau line of TL10 small arms. Common features include 3.23 mm bore size, electromagnetic delivery mechanism and electric loading mechanism. All Ginni-Grau have a reputation for quality (q.v. GURPS Vehicles).

Designer's Notes: I think I originally chose 3.23mm on a whim and just as a exercise for how to work with the Vehicles, 2d. ed. rules and how flexible they might be for creating something like this. I say I think because as I write this note, it is now about 13 years since I first created this page :-)
