While all the Clans swear fealty to the Imperial Clan, that doesn't mean that all things are peaceful. The Heartrender class was developed by the Clan T'laren as a response to the Heartbreaker. The T'laren didn't have the resources to build a vessel as massive as the Heartbreaker, but they were able to develop smaller and lighter craft as a defense.
Only about 3 of these space craft were ever manufactured. Each mounts three massive 775 mm electrothermal gatling cannon to the port side. Each of these cannons can expel up to three 7-ton projectiles per second. The Heartrender class carries only 150 rounds (allowing 17 seconds of all out offensive), but when loaded with HESH, HEAT or micronuke warheads, this can often be more than enough.
The concept of the Heartrender is to sneak up on the target as quickly as possible and unleash a devastating barrage before the target can raise any force shields. This class of vessel uses TL12 Terralopsian stealth technology, and a TL11 Imperial hyperdrive. The rest of the vessel is built using T'laren TL10 equipment.
