Converting Characters between
Shadowrun and Marvel Superheroes
We all like to convert characters from one game to another. Here are some
notes for converting between Shadowrun (2d or 3d edition) and Marvel Superheroes
Advanced Set.
MSH is a superheroic game while SR is merely heroic. SR provides a more granular
feel at the low end of the power spectrum while Marvel handles mythological
figures like Hercules and Thor.
-
This first table applies to everything except Strength.
-
If a character has a skill that exceeds his associated attribute, he gets
the appropriate talent at the appropriate rank. Be careful doling out Talents,
though. It is a convention of MSH that characters only have a few Talents
that are really relevant.
-
This table was extended to Unearthly for reverse conversion (Marvel to
Shadowrun). If Marvel Strength is greater than Remarkable, then divide the
rank number by four to determine the rating with a note under powers indicating
the actual lift capacity. MSH Characters with Incredible or better Strength
do Vehicular damage in Shadowrun.
-
MSH powers of Incredible or greater rank do Vehicular damage in Shadowrun.
-
All Shadowrun weapons are treated as their MSH equivalents.
