The Adventuring Sage is a new d20 fantasy core class ideally suited for emulating Indiana Jones, Lara Croft, and the other great skill-based action-adventure heroes who use as much or more brains than they use brawn.
The class is based on the Expert NPC class, logically expaned to boost it to compariable levels with the other PC classes. It may still be a bit soft in raw combat ability, but no other class in the game - not
even rogues - can beat it for number of skills and huge skill modifiers.
The Adventuring Sage Release 1.0 PDF also contains epic level expansion for the class and a number of original feats. Release 2.0 is planned to include sample characters, import material from Unearthed Arcana and a number of other OGC sources, and possibly include a short adventure featuring the adventuring sage.
