Powers / Tactics:  Same as for the 3e edition version of Onyx.

Appearance:  Same as for the 3e edition version of Onyx.

Campaign Use:  Onyx is a religious zealot and highly paid mercenary. Note that when using her hammers she is +8 "to hit" and causes a base damage of 1d4+16 to S/M and 1d4+15 to L when used HTH. Add 1d4+1/1d4 when thrown, or 2d4+2/2d4 when thrown against giants and giant kin (also note her dwarven combat modifiers against giants and giant kin).  When using both hammers, she has three attacks per round HTH, or can throw one and use the other for two HTH attacks that round.  If pressed, she can throw each hammer once per round.

Originally, Onyx was a 2d edition character.  While the rules worked well, 3e really allowed me to express the flavor of the character.  At Dragonflight 2000 I played two different versions of Onyx.  One as written here, and one as if she was a 15th level fighter. If you ever find yourself at a game convention and Rick Blight is running his game Knight of the Living Dead do yourself a favor and get signed up!  Guaranteed to have you pulling hair, this adventure is well-balanced and incredibly fun!  Be sure to remember the teleport without error!
