Morpheus Unbound | Supporting Cast | Hero System
Created 1985 by P. Rogers
Background: Honeybee is a member of the Kith. She is both warrior and social anthropologist. She came to Earth to study how humans operate in social situations, and became particularly fascinated with the subcultures typically referred to as "superheroes" and "supervillains."
She was recruited by Lomax Kijarat an became a founding member of the New Conquerors. Her natural predatory instincts are a natural match for the bounty hunting trade.
Personality/Motivation: Honeybee is both social anthropologist and predatory hunter. She enjoys the hunt and the chase more than the "kill" however, and will often pit her wits and skills against those of her bounty prey.
Quote: "Humans are such interesting animals."
Powers/Tactics: As a member of the Kith, Honeybee is a combination of insect and mammal, with abilities of both groups.
She can expel needle-sharp, razor-edged "stingers" from her forearms. She expels them in small clusters of three to five. Each cluster counts as one attack. The stingers are composed of a chiton like material, and are produced and stored in her forearms. Each is about half-inch long and has negligible width. They are ejected from her arms by immensely powerful muscle contractions. They will puncture all physical armors, but are impaired by the impermability of force fields (AVLD). The glands in her forearms also produce a natural neuro-toxin which causes unconsciousness (NND). The glands produce only a limited amount of neuro-toxin per day (charges).
Honeybee also has a subdermal chiton which provides defense. The chiton is not visible unless she takes Body from an attack, in which case the mammalian tissue covering the chiton is damaged, temporarily revealing the chiton below. She also regenerates.
Appearance: Unless injured, Honeybee looks like a normal human, about 5'7" tall, 160 pounds with long strawberry red hair and green eyes.
Campaign Use: Honeybee is a member of the New Conquerors. She has an extremely predatory nature, and more than any of the other New Conquerors, she continues to pursue bounties. She does not discriminate based on who offers the bounty - she takes what interests her - and this will sometimes lead her in to conflict with "the good guys."
